Library and Pharmacy
Through an elegant double staircase, splendidly frescoed in the 17th century by the Olivetan artist Antonio Müller, visitors reach the spacious three-aisle hall of the library. Its construction was completed during the tenure of Abbot Francesco Ringhieri (1513–1514) following a design by Fra Giovanni da Verona. In addition to carving the marvelous wooden entrance door, Fra Giovanni also sculpted all the capitals of the pietra serena columns that support the vaulted ceilings.
