The Vision of Saint Felix of Cantalice, initially attributed to Domenico Manetti, was later recognized as the work of Rutilio Manetti (Siena 1571-1639) thanks to a 17th-century document. Created in 1630, the painting comes from the Bandinelli family's patronage chapel in the Church of San Lorenzo. The work reveals the influence of Caravaggesque naturalism, with particular attention to material details, such as the shine of the skull and the texture of the saint's habit, and the use of dark tones broken by flashes of light.
