Ground floor - Palazzo Corboli Museum

Room 1 - The Museum
Art

Inaugurated on May 18, 2002, it was described by the Daily Telegraph as "one of the most beautiful small museums in Italy." Palazzo Corboli is officially recognized by the Tuscany Region as a Museum of Regional Significance. The entire collection is displayed inside one of the most prestigious buildings in the historic center of Asciano, along the main street, on the path of the ancient Via Lauretana.

Room 2 - The History of the Palace
Art

In the room, visitors can admire frescoes from a space in the palace, including the prominent scene of the Stigmata of Saint Francis. The room also houses reconstruction models of the building's architectural phases and material artifacts, such as a brick access ramp and a well shaft with its archaeological objects. In the adjacent space, fragments of the Stories of the Passion, from the Church of San Lorenzo of the former Convent of San Francesco, created by the Master of Monticiano, can also be viewed.

Room 3 - Francesco Nasini
Art

In the room, now also used as a tourist office, are displayed four 17th-century canvases from the Church of San Lorenzo of the former Convent of San Francesco, painted by Francesco Nasini, an artist from a renowned family of painters. However, he remained largely overlooked by art history, possibly due to the dispersion of his works in peripheral areas or because his paintings were often attributed to his more famous relatives.
